The RUN FOR ANGELS is our largest fundraiser since its inception in 2003. With both the 5K and 10K courses being certified as PEACHTREE ROAD RACE QUALIFIERS (USATF 10K A0400WC), the RUN FOR ANGELS is now a highly respected and well-attended event attracting over 1000 participants from all over the southeast last year! ORION RACING, will once again, professionally manage our 2019 race using the latest RFID disposable start and finish chip-timing technology to ensure the most accurate instant finish times possible! These precise times will be displayed on a flat screened television at the finish line. This system will also allow us to prepare for our awards ceremony quickly! Your 5K and 10K final race times will be emailed to you and will be available on our website! (Please note that we will use gun time to calculate awards results based on USATF Rule 245.)

One Mile Fun Run/Walk: Ribbons will be given to all participants 12 and under.
5K & 10K: Awards for overall M/F finishers in both races; Overall M/F Masters in both races;

One pair of running shoes each to the Overall Male and Female 5K and 10K winners from Dragonfly Running.
A $25.00 Gift Certificate to the Overall Masters Male and Female 5K and 10K winners from Dragonfly Running.

New design 2019 Medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in the following age groups:
10 & under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74, 75 & over.

T-shirts: Run T-shirts guaranteed for all runners who preregister no later than January 22.

SCHOOL TEAMS: 2019 winners - Northside Elementary & Evans Middle School

Show your team spirit and compete against other schools! Every school is encouraged to form a spirit team consisting of anyone related to your school...students, teachers, coaches, parents and siblings! The top 2 overall schools with the most participation will win gift cards!

Elementary, Middle & High schools with the most participation will hold the trophy!  Look for registration forms in your school office and/or with your track coach and athletic director the first week of January. The 2019 Angel’s House Chicken Q will, once again, be held in conjunction with our Run For Angel’s on Saturday, February 2, 2019, in the First United Methodist Church Parish Hall in Newnan. We include Huckleberry’s famous chicken, potato salad, bread, baked beans and delicious homemade desserts in our Chicken Q plates! Our drive-thru and walk-in pick-up line will open at 10:00am for those who would like “to go” plates. Of course, you are welcome to eat in the Church Parish Hall beginning at 10:00am until 1:30pm.

We strive to stage a quality athletic event by continuing to improve our race each year.Many committed volunteers are already actively involved in preparing for our 2019 race.
